Descrizione
Le uscite Sapphire di Topps rappresentano sempre la variante leggermente più elegante e molto più limitata di una collezione Chrome. Come già avvenuto per molte altre collezioni negli ultimi anni, Topps amplia anche la collezione Premier League Chrome di febbraio di quest’anno con questa variante con carte nel tipico look blu zaffiro.
Per box, i collezionisti possono aspettarsi 1 carta Autograph nel look Sapphire, oltre a 4 carte Parallel numerate. La numerazione più alta in questa collezione è /99, il che sottolinea la maggiore limitazione delle edizioni Sapphire rispetto alla collezione principale Chrome.
Base Cards
Il BASE SET della collezione riprende le 200 carte della collezione principale Chrome e le presenta con il look blu zaffiro. L’aggiunta del giovane talento dell’Arsenal Max Dowman come carta Base aggiuntiva, presente nella collezione principale Chrome, è stata omessa nella Sapphire Edition, per cui in questa collezione è presente solo tra le carte Autograph.
Parallels
In totale, 7 varianti Parallel fanno brillare il look Sapphire in numerosi altri colori. La numerazione più alta è /99 (Green), seguita da /50 (Gold), /25 (Orange), le Purple (/15) Parallels finora piuttosto insolite per le collezioni Sapphire Soccer, /10 (Black), /5 (Red) e le uniche Parallels Padparadscha (1/1) esclusive Sapphire.
Insert Cards
Dalla collezione principale Chrome, Topps ha trasferito nella Premier League Sapphire Edition le cinque categorie Insert ALIVE AND KICKING, GOLAZO, STOPPAGE TIME HEARTBREAKER, THAT’S HIS JOB e THE STREETS WON’T FORGET.
Esclusivi della collezione Sapphire sono i due set Insert tipici di questa edizione: INFINITE SAPPHIRE e SAPPHIRE SELECTIONS. Le Infinite Sapphires appaiono come Case Hit in media in ogni 81ª bustina, mentre le Sapphire Selections possono essere trovate nelle bustine circa il doppio delle volte (1:41).

La categoria BASE AUTOGRAPH è leggermente meno ampia rispetto alla collezione principale Chrome, con 92 firmatari diversi, ma rimane comunque molto ricca.
Molto più rare ed esclusive della collezione sono le 15 diverse SAPPHIRE SELECTIONS AUTOGRAPHS, che dal punto di vista visivo rappresentano anche uno dei punti forti della collezione.
