With the 2025-26 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Premier League Soccer Cards, Topps is also releasing the elegant, blue shimmering Sapphire Cards for the top tier of English football for the first time. Per Hobby Box of the collection, collectors can look forward to 1 Autograph Card and 4 numbered Parallel Cards.
Description
Topps Sapphire releases are the slightly more premium and significantly more limited variant of a Chrome collection. As with many other collections in recent years, Topps is also expanding the Premier League Chrome collection from February of this year with this version featuring cards in the typical sapphire blue look.
Per box, collectors can expect 1 Autograph Card in the Sapphire look, along with 4 numbered Parallel Cards. The highest numbering in this collection is /99, which highlights the stronger limitation of Sapphire Editions compared to the Chrome main collection.
Base Cards
The BASE SET of the collection mirrors the 200 cards from the Chrome main collection and presents them in the blue sapphire look. The addition of Arsenal youth talent Max Dowman as an extra Base Card, which was introduced in the Chrome main collection, has been omitted in the Sapphire Edition, meaning he can only be found among the Autograph Cards in this collection.
Parallels
A total of 7 Parallel variants allow the Sapphire look to shine in numerous additional colors. The highest numbering is /99 (Green), followed by /50 (Gold), /25 (Orange), the rather unusual Purple (/15) Parallels for Sapphire Soccer collections so far, /10 (Black), /5 (Red) and the unique sapphire-exclusive Padparadscha (1/1) Parallels.
Insert Cards
From the Chrome main collection, Topps has carried over the five insert categories ALIVE AND KICKING, GOLAZO, STOPPAGE TIME HEARTBREAKER, THAT’S HIS JOB and THE STREETS WON’T FORGET into the Premier League Sapphire Edition.
Exclusive to the Sapphire collection are the two insert sets typical for this edition: INFINITE SAPPHIRE and SAPPHIRE SELECTIONS. The Infinite Sapphires appear as a Case Hit in an average of every 81st pack, while Sapphire Selections can be pulled from packs roughly twice as often (1:41).
Autograph Cards
The BASE AUTOGRAPH category is slightly less extensive than in the Chrome main collection, with 92 different signers, but it is still impressively filled.
Much rarer and exclusive to the collection are the 15 different SAPPHIRE SELECTIONS AUTOGRAPHS, which are also visually among the highlights of the collection.
Availability
In each 2026 Topps Chrome Premier League Sapphire Edition box there are 32 cards, distributed across 8 packs with 4 cards each. According to Topps, each box should contain 1 Autograph Card as well as 4 numbered Parallel Cards.
The release date announced by Topps for 2025-26 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Premier League Soccer Cards is Thursday, the 5th of March 2026.
From that point on, the Premier League Sapphire boxes will be available via the EQL process on the Topps website or from retailers specializing in sportscards.
