2025 TOPPS Decades 1990’s Edition Premier League Soccer Cards

Release Date:

For the second time, Topps takes a leap back to the 90s under the Decades name. Inside the boxes of the 2025 TOPPS Decades 1990’s Edition Premier League Soccer Cards, collectors can look forward to 1 Autograph Card and 3 numbered Parallels from legends of English football.

Description

The Premier League of the 90s is the theme of the new Decades collection, with which Topps aims to spark nostalgic feelings among all fans of English football. After the first Decades release, which last year focused on the legends of European club competitions, the spotlight now turns to the biggest stars from the early days of the English Premier League.

Fans of 90s Premier League football can look forward in the boxes of the 2025 TOPPS Decades 1990’s Edition Premier League Soccer Cards to stars such as Alan Shearer, Ruud Gullit, Attilio Lombardo, Lucas Radebe, Paul McGrath, Thierry Henry, Tony Yeboah, Georgi Kinkladze, David Ginola, Gianfranco Zola, Barry Horne and many more.

Per PL Decades box, collectors will find 1 Autograph Card as well as 3 numbered Parallel Cards from the stars of that era. Particularly lucky collectors may also find an Autograph Relic Card in their Decades Premier League box.

Base Cards

The base set of the collection consists of 144 Cards in a 90s design and has been divided by Topps into 14 thematic subsets. These include the STRIKERS! Cards, celebrating the best goal scorers of the era, PARTNERSHIP and TRIPLE THREAT Cards showcasing the outstanding duos and trios of the decade, and MEMORABLE QUOTES, presenting some of the most legendary quotes from that time.

With 45 Cards, TERRACE HEROES is the most extensive category of the collection. Further categories include MERCURIAL TALENTS, GOALS GALORE, BACK FOUR, PIONEERS, COOL BRITANNIA and IN THE MIX, which integrates 90s-style VHS tapes with player-specific labels into the card designs.

Illustrated BOBBLEHEAD Cards in a retro look featuring greats such as George Weah and Paul Scholes, as well as the PLANET FOOTBALL category, which offers a look at personalities off the pitch such as commentators or legendary coaches on Single or Dual Cards, round off this extensive base set.

Parallels

The collection includes six Parallel variations typical for On-Demand sets. The highest numbering is /99 (Blue). Further versions are /50 (Purple), /25 (Orange), /10 (Black), /5 (Red) and the one-of-one 1/1 (Gold).

Insert Cards

In addition to the numerous base subsets, Topps has added two insert sets to the collection. The WHOLE NEW BALL GAME Cards celebrate the inaugural Premier League season, and 17 Cards with IMAGE VARIATIONS feature stars from that era.

Autograph Cards

In total, Topps has adopted the designs of 10 of the base card categories for the Autograph Cards and produced 127 different Cards from them.

Special highlights include the numerous Dual and Triple Autograph Cards, which present multiple signatures from 90s greats on a single Card.

Autograph Relic Cards

The RETRO AUTOGRAPH RELICS combine match-worn relics with the autographs of the stars. Particularly epic are, for example, the Cards that combine pieces of the iconic manager’s jacket worn by Sir Alex Ferguson during Manchester United’s 1992/93 championship season with his signature.

Availability

Each box of the collection contains 36 Cards, distributed across 6 packs with 6 Cards each. Included are always 1 Autograph and 3 numbered Parallel Cards. Selected boxes also contain additional Planet Football bonus autographs or Autograph Relic Cards.

The release date announced by Topps for 2025 TOPPS Decades 1990s Edition Premier League Soccer Cards is Friday, the 27th of February 2026.

From that date, the Premier League Decades boxes will initially be available exclusively on the Topps website. After production and delivery, which may take approximately 6–8 weeks, they will also be available at retailers specializing in sportscards.
