2024-25 TOPPS Gold UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards

Release Date:

For the fourth time, Topps presents the GOLD Cards for the European club competitions, created in collaboration with a renowned artist. Collectors can look forward to 2 numbered Parallels and 2 Autograph Cards in every box of the 2024-25 TOPPS Gold UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards.

Description

Topps updates the Gold collection for the European club competitions to the 2024/25 season and, for the first time, includes 2 Autograph Cards from the stars of the collection in a single box.

This is certainly the most striking change, but by no means the only difference that the 2024-25 TOPPS Gold UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards bring compared to last year’s edition.

Base Cards

The Base Set has been reduced once again, so that this year’s collection features 51 Cards — the smallest number of all Gold collections to date. Compared to the first two editions, this represents a decrease of almost 50%.

For the design of the Topps Gold 2024/25 Cards, Topps once again relied on the support of a well-known artist. The US-american illustrator WalkerTKL from Chicago was chosen to create the 2024-25 TOPPS Gold UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards for the current season.

Parallels

Topps continues to use the familiar six variants from the On-Demand sets, meaning the Parallel Cards of the 2024-25 TOPPS Gold UEFA Club Competitions collection are numbered to /99, /49, /25, /10, /5 or 1/1. Early box openings, however, show that Topps has apparently added another, officially undocumented variant numbered to /75.

Insert Cards

Alongside the Base Cards, collectors will once again find the three insert sets typical for the Topps Gold collection: Elite, Future Stars and Gold, which add a total of 65 additional Cards to the checklist.

Autograph Cards

Topps has increased the number of Autograph Cards per box. Each Topps Gold 2024/25 Box contains two of these special Cards, along with two numbered Parallel Cards (to /99 or lower).

The Relic Cards and Autograph Relic Cards from last year have been removed from the collection, meaning only pure Autograph Cards are found in the boxes. The highlight is the introduction of Triple Autograph Cards to the Gold lineup for the first time, featuring top stars from the European club competitions.

Topps is also continuing the newly introduced Only1 series for the 2024/25 season and has placed one of these unique Autograph Cards in a single box across the entire Topps Gold production run.

Availability

Similar to the Base Cards, Topps has significantly reduced the content of the Gold Boxes, so collectors will find only 40 Cards per box — half the amount of the previous year. These are distributed across 4 Packs with 10 Cards each, ensuring every Pack contains either an Autograph Card or a numbered Parallel Card.

The release date announced by Topps for 2024-25 TOPPS Gold UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards is Friday, the 24th of January 2025.

Initially, the UEFA Club Competitions Gold 2024/25 Boxes will be offered exclusively through Topps’ own online shops in Europe. After production and distribution, they will also be available from retailers specializing in sports cards.
