Another release from Topps’ Team Set line gives fans of the Portuguese capital club Benfica cards of the club’s current stars and legends.
For the current 2025/26 season, Team Sets have already been released for FC Barcelona, FC Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Juventus and Real Madrid.
Unlike the previous releases of this season, the Benfica Team Set always contains 1 Autograph Card.
Base Cards
The 50-card BASE SET of the 2025-26 TOPPS SL Benfica Team Set Soccer Cards, which in addition to current stars and legends also includes 1 card dedicated to Benfica’s women’s team, is divided into four subsets:
The two categories FIRST TEAM and BONA FIDE BALLER had already been used by Topps in Team Sets from the previous season. New this year are the PITCH PURSUITS cards as well as the COLLECTOR’S CORNER cards featuring full-image photography, which were also part of the other Team Sets this season.
They are complemented by the SOARING EAGLE cards, a category exclusively included in the Benfica Team Set. The inspiration for them came from the eagle in the crest of the Encarnados.
Parallels
Topps has produced 7 Parallel variants for these cards. Six of them are numbered to /99 or lower and are complemented by the unnumbered Static Parallels (1 per box). Topps has omitted the Halo Parallels that were always included in the other Team Sets of the season for this Team Set.
Insert Cards
The only inserts in the collection are the brightly colored RAINBOW FLICK cards. With just 1 card in every case, meaning every 20th box, they are among the rarest cards of the Team Set releases.
Autograph Cards
There is also a small change regarding the Autograph Cards compared to the other Team Sets from this season. The Base Autographs featuring the design of the First Team cards have been replaced by the new HEADSHOT HEROES Autographs, on which the players are no longer shown in action scenes, but only through profile images.
Fans of the club can look forward to autographs from current stars of the men’s team such as Vangelis Pavlidis, Andreas Schjelderup, Tomás Araújo or Fredrik Aursnes, promising young talents like João Veloso or Diogo Prioste, as well as stars of the women’s team such as Cristina Martín-Prieto, Nycole Raysla or Andreia Norton.
In addition, many former players and club legends can also be found among the Autograph Cards, including Ángel Di María, Rui Costa, David Luiz, Cloé Lacasse, Nuno Gomes or Luisão, some of whom can also be found in the BONA FIDE BALLER AUTOGRAPHS, the second Autograph Card category of the Team Set.
Availability
Each Topps Benfica Team Set 2025/26 box contains 30 cards distributed across 6 packs with 5 cards each. According to Topps, every box always contains 1 Autograph Card, 1 numbered Parallel Card and 1 Static Parallel Card.
The release date announced by Topps for 2025-26 TOPPS SL Benfica Team Set Soccer Cards is Wednesday, the 13th of May 2026.
From that point on, the boxes will be available in the Topps online shop or from retailers specializing in sports cards.
