collectosk is an independent magazine and information resource for collectors of sports cards, trading cards and stickers. Since 2016, collectosk has been publishing news, information on new releases and products, as well as carefully prepared and reviewed checklists.
What started as a German-language collecting magazine now serves collectors around the world. Content is published in English, German, Spanish, French and Italian and covers the international trading card market. collectosk has its roots in Europe, while the North American market and its manufacturers, leagues and products have also been central to its coverage for many years.
The goal has remained the same from the beginning: to provide collectors with reliable, clearly presented and useful long-term information — freely accessible and without requiring registration or a paid membership.
Why collectosk?
Manufacturers are the primary source for information on new releases. Their checklists and product information, however, can vary considerably in structure, level of detail and presentation.
collectosk prepares this information specifically with collectors in mind. Available data is reviewed before publication, obvious errors and inconsistencies are corrected, and the information is converted into a consistent format. This makes it easier to browse and compare different releases using a familiar structure, regardless of the manufacturer.
Collection pages also bring the checklist together with other relevant information, including an overview of the release, images and product details. Example card images within the checklist help collectors identify sets, inserts and parallels visually rather than by name alone.
This turns the original manufacturer data into a lasting resource for collectors rather than simply reproducing the original checklist.
In addition, the continuously updated Release Calendar provides a central overview of upcoming releases and pre-order dates. New or revised dates are added as soon as reliable information becomes available.
How collectosk checklists are created and kept up to date
Whenever available, official manufacturer information forms the basis of a collectosk checklist.
Before publication, the data is reviewed for apparent errors, contradictions and inconsistencies and then converted into the standardized collectosk format. Where other reliable sources are available, relevant details are cross-checked against them.
Many collection pages are initially built using official pre-release information and continue to evolve afterwards. New images, corrections and reliably confirmed details are also incorporated after a product has been released.
The international collectosk community, which has grown steadily since 2016, also plays an important role in this process. Reports of missing cards, possible errors, previously unknown variations or other relevant details are reviewed and, where possible, checked against additional sources or evidence before being incorporated into existing content.
In this way, collectosk combines official primary sources with editorial review, independent research and the knowledge of experienced collectors. Feedback, corrections and additional information from the community are always welcome.
Free to access, with no account required
Personal data and privacy deserve to be treated with care. Access to useful information should not depend on handing over personal details or creating an account. That is why all editorial content, collection information and checklists on collectosk are freely accessible, with no paid membership or personal user account required.
As with any modern website, certain technical data may be processed, as well as data related to analytics, social media or affiliate services. Details about the services used and how data is handled are provided transparently in the Privacy Policy.
Independent and transparent
collectosk operates independently of manufacturers, retailers and other industry participants.
As is common for a specialist publication, collectosk communicates with manufacturers about new releases, product information, release dates and imagery. These relationships do not determine which topics are covered or how products are presented editorially.
collectosk does not publish paid guest posts or third-party promotional content presented as editorial coverage. Information about the person legally responsible for collectosk and the site operator is publicly available in the Legal Notice.
collectosk is funded in part through affiliate partnerships. When users follow a clearly identified affiliate link to a retailer and make a purchase, collectosk may receive a commission without increasing the price paid by the buyer.
In this way, readers and users indirectly help keep collectosk free to access and support its continued development. Affiliate partnerships have no influence on which products or topics receive editorial coverage.
collectosk will continue to evolve alongside the hobby and its community. The goal remains the same: to present information carefully, keep it freely accessible and improve the site wherever doing so creates genuine value for collectors.
