Topps’ Team Sets head into a new season and, after the set for FC Barcelona, the Team Set train makes a stop in western Germany at Borussia Dortmund. More Team Sets for Europe’s top clubs, such as Liverpool FC, as well as for the Argentina national team, will follow over the course of the season.
Following the Fan Sets designed for newcomers to the hobby, the Team Sets represent the next step up. They not only offer a higher chance at Autograph Cards, but also include Relic Cards and Autograph Relic Cards. That means buyers of a 2024-25 TOPPS Borussia Dortmund Official Team Set Soccer Cards box can look forward to a guaranteed Autograph, Relic or Autograph Relic Card from the stars of the current squad or from some of the greatest black-and-yellow Borussia legends.
Base Cards
The base set of the Topps Borussia Dortmund Team Set 2024/25 collection includes 50 Cards, half of which are dedicated to players from the current squad, while the other half is spread across three additional sub-sets: BVB Passion, Topps 206 in retro style and Bona Fide Ballers, celebrating the club’s rising and former stars.
Parallels
For the Base Cards of the 2024-25 TOPPS BVB Official Team Sets, Topps produced 7 different Parallel variants, six of which are numbered to /150 or lower. In addition, there are the unnumbered Static Parallels, with one included in every box.
Insert Cards
Alongside the sub-sets within the Base Cards, the Topps BVB Team Set collection also includes 3 Insert categories. These are the Rainbow Flick and Pathway Inserts already known from the Barcelona Team Set, as well as the unique Black and Yellow Fusion Inserts, produced exclusively for this Team Set.
Autograph, Relic & Autograph Relic Cards
In addition, collectors will find in each box an Autograph Card, a Relic Card or an Autograph Relic Card from one of the stars of the current squad or one of the legends of the club, such as Marco Reus or Łukasz Piszczek.
The highlight of the Topps Dortmund Team Set is the My Club Autograph Relic Cards, featuring embedded jersey pieces and a signature, which exist as One-of-One Cards per player and only once across the entire collection.
Availability
Each Borussia Dortmund Official Team Set 24/25 box contains 30 Cards, split across 6 Packs with 5 Cards each. Anyone looking to complete the Base Set will therefore need at least 2 of the BVB Team Set boxes.
The release date announced by Topps for 2024-25 TOPPS Borussia Dortmund Official Team Set Soccer Cards is Friday, the 13th of December 2024.
