2024-25 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Bundesliga Soccer Cards

Release Date:

Shortly after the release of the Chrome cards for the German Fußball-Bundesliga, Topps follows up with the refined, significantly more limited Sapphire variant. As in the previous year, fans can look forward to colorful Sapphire parallels in the 2024-25 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Bundesliga Soccer Cards boxes, but this time they have to do without a guaranteed autograph card per box.

Description

The Sapphire releases from Topps are each the slightly more refined and considerably more limited variant of a Chrome collection. As in recent years, Topps is once again expanding the Bundesliga Chrome collection with this variant featuring sparkling cards in the typical sapphire blue.

In contrast to previous years, Topps guarantees neither on the product packaging of the hobby box nor in the product descriptions in its own online shop an autograph card per box. Numerous openings and the pack odds published by Topps for the 2024-25 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Bundesliga Soccer Cards, however, indicate that buyers, as in the previous season, may still expect one autograph card per box.

Base Cards

The base set of the collection mirrors the 100 cards from the main Chrome collection and applies the blue sapphire look to them. In addition, and this is where the Sapphire Edition differs from the regular Chrome Bundesliga collection, there is a set of 25 cards with base image variations that shows the included players with a motif different from the regular base cards.

Parallels

A total of 6 parallel variants make the sapphire look shine in numerous additional colors. The highest numbering is /99, followed by /50, /25, /10, /5 and the unique, Sapphire exclusive Padparadscha 1/1 parallels.

Insert Cards

For the insert sets, the Sapphire Edition relies on exclusivity compared to the main collection with Infinite Sapphires and Sapphire Selections. Infinite Sapphires can be found as a case hit in on average every 80th pack, while Sapphire Selections can be pulled from packs more frequently.

Autograph Cards

The base autographs are just as extensive as in the main collection and, with their 120 different cards, exceed the base set of the collection. In addition to the standard variants of the base autographs that are in some cases also present and not numbered, their parallels are numbered at most to /25, which reflects the low print run of the Sapphire collection compared with the regular Chrome collection. Significantly rarer and exclusive to the collection are the Sapphire Selections Autographs, which also visually count among the highlights of the collection.

Availability

Each Bundesliga Sapphire 2024/25 box contains 32 cards, spread across 8 packs with 4 cards each. There are no guarantees per box this time as mentioned above, yet in normal cases collectors can expect 4 parallels, 1 base image variation and 1 autograph card.

The release date announced by Topps for 2024-25 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Bundesliga Soccer Cards is Thursday, the 31st of July 2025.

The 2024-25 Topps Bundesliga Sapphire boxes will be available from that time via the Topps website or from retailers specializing in sports cards.
