With a new Donruss collection, Panini turns its attention to the qualification phase for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The 2025-26 PANINI Donruss Road to FIFA World Cup 2026 Soccer Cards showcase the stars of the national teams on their journey to the tournament in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
Description
Now released annually by Panini, Donruss Soccer Cards are heading into the final stretch toward the FIFA World Cup 2026 together with collectors, and in the 2025-26 PANINI Donruss Road to FIFA World Cup 2026 Soccer Cards collection they present the top stars and best young prospects from the qualification phase for the tournament.
Before Panini releases the official sports card collections for the tournament, which will take place from June 11, 2026 to July 19, 2026, several collections under the title “Road to FIFA World Cup” will still focus on the qualification phase, including a Select, a National Treasures and a Noir collection.
Alongside stars such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe or Harry Kane, the collection also includes players from teams that have not yet or may not qualify for the tournament, such as Robert Lewandowski, who is still competing for one of the last remaining spots with the Polish national team in the playoffs at the end of March.
This year as well, collectors can look forward to a wide range of product formats for this collection. In addition to the Hobby boxes with 360 cards, Hobby International boxes, Blaster boxes as well as Fat-Pack boxes have already been announced.
Base Cards
The BASE SET of the Panini Donruss 2025/26 collection includes 250 cards, growing by 50 cards compared to previous years. It also features a subset of 50 Rated Rookie cards, on which Panini presents the most promising young talents of the national teams.
Parallels
A special feature of the Donruss Soccer collections is that the entire base set can also be pulled from packs as an Opti-Chrome finished Optic version. In addition to the parallels that Panini has produced for the standard version of the cards, there are also numerous colorful parallel versions for the Optic parallels.
Insert Cards
On average, collectors can pull 4 insert cards from each pack of the Hobby boxes. Among them are numerous Donruss classics such as the DOMINATORS or the ZERO GRAVITY inserts, which stand out with a cosmic background.
Among the rare and particularly sought-after insert cards are the KABOOM! inserts, which are also available in a gold (/10) and black (1/1) parallel version, and the ANIMATION inserts, which give the players a cartoon-like touch against an anime-style background.
Autograph Cards
For the autograph cards, Panini relies on the classic structure of the Donruss collections and presents established categories among collectors with the SIGNATURE SERIES and THE BEAUTIFUL GAME autographs. The latter are also available as THE BEAUTIFUL GAME DUAL AUTOGRAPHS in a version featuring the signatures of two players from one national team on a single card.
Relic Cards
Among the relic cards, we also find the KIT KINGS, a category known from previous collections, which presents the players with a piece of a jersey embedded in the card. Even though Panini has not yet revealed the name of the second relic category, the Kit Kings will most likely be complemented by the KIT SERIES cards, also known from earlier collections.
Availability
Each 2025-26 Donruss Road to FIFA World Cup 26 Hobby box contains 360 cards for extended collecting fun, distributed across 12 packs with 30 cards each. Per box, collectors should find 1 autograph card, 1 relic card and 6 numbered parallel cards.
The Hobby International boxes offer the same card count, but come without relic cards and with only 3 numbered parallel cards for collectors. In return, they include many exclusive parallels such as the Optic Argyle or the Black Pandora parallels, which exist only once per card.
A more affordable entry is possible with the Blaster boxes or the Fat-Packs, which do not include guaranteed autograph cards, but also come with exclusive parallels that can only be pulled from these products.
The release date announced by Panini for 2025-26 PANINI Donruss Road to FIFA World Cup 2026 Soccer Cards is Wednesday, the 22nd of April 2026. Short-term changes to this date are possible at any time and should be taken into account.
From that point on, the boxes will be available in the online shop of Panini America or from retailers specializing in sports cards.
