Description
Just before the UEFA Women’s Champions League moves into the knockout phase of the 2025/26 season, Topps takes a step back to the previous season and, with a noticeable delay, presents collectors with the 2024-25 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition UEFA Women’s Champions League Soccer Cards.
This version, equipped with the blue shimmering Sapphire cards and released about two weeks after the Chrome main collection, stands out not only for this premium card variant but also for a significantly more limited overall print run.
Base Cards
The BASE SET of the collection includes 100 cards featuring the stars and top rookies from 12 different teams and is identical in content to the Chrome main collection released at the beginning of the year.
Parallels
Topps has produced six different parallel versions for this collection, all of which are numbered. The highest numbering belongs to the Yellow (/75) parallels, followed in descending order by Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Black (/10), and Red (/5), leading down to the Padparadscha (1/1) parallels, which are exclusive to Sapphire editions and exist only once per card.
Insert Cards
There are three insert categories in the collection. The QUEENS OF FOOTBALL inserts, already known from the Chrome main collection, have been fully carried over in terms of content into this Sapphire Edition. In addition, there are the two inserts typical for Sapphire collections and only found there: INFINITE SAPPHIRE and SAPPHIRE SELECTIONS.
Autograph Cards
With 36 different players, the BASE AUTOGRAPHS category is 12 cards smaller than in the previously released Chrome main collection. The FUTURE STARS AUTOGRAPHS have been completely carried over, although they consist of only 3 cards.
Exclusive to the Sapphire Edition are the highly sought-after SAPPHIRE SELECTION AUTOGRAPHS featuring 11 top players from this year’s competition.
Availability
Each 2024-25 Topps Chrome Sapphire UEFA Women’s Champions League Hobby box contains 32 cards, distributed across 8 packs with 4 cards each. According to Topps, each box should include 1 autograph card and 3 numbered parallel cards.
The release date announced by Topps for 2024-25 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition UEFA Women's Champions League Soccer Cards is Friday, the 16th of January 2026.
At Topps, the boxes of the collection were only available during the pre-sale in December. They decided not to offer them to collectors again at the official release date and instead leave sales entirely to dealers specializing in sports cards.
