The fifth edition of the Inception Cards for the European club competitions also joins the significantly delayed soccer releases from Topps for the 2024/25 season. The 2024-25 TOPPS Inception UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards collection promises a noticeably larger number of on-card autographs than in previous years, as well as memorabilia from the UEFA Champions League final.
Description
Around half a year after the end of the 2024/25 season in the European club competitions, Topps continues to supply collectors with additional releases from this campaign.
One of the most popular products that many collectors have still been waiting for is the Inception Cards. For the 24/25 season, these have already appeared for the German Bundesliga, but not yet for the four major European club competitions – UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Around the turn of the year, the colourful 2024-25 Topps Inception UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards, known for their distinctive artwork, are expected to make their way to collectors.
Base Cards
The Base Set comprises 96 Cards, nearly the same size as last year’s release, and is divided into seven different subsets. Emerging Stars, First XI, Inception Point, Legacy, Star Quality and Succession are already familiar to Inception collectors from past editions. New this year is the Superior subset, dedicated exclusively to the stars of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Parallels
Topps has not yet released details on the Parallels. Once available, they will be added to the checklist below.
Autograph Cards
The collection offers matching Autograph Cards for all seven Base Subsets, and in total there are even three more Autograph Cards than Base Cards.
There are also numerous additional autograph categories, such as the Dual Autograph Cards signed by two stars, the typically low-numbered Immersion Autographs, and the more premium Autograph Book Cards, which contain four signatures from competition stars.
Fans of on-card autograph cards can look forward to the Silver Signings Autographs, for which 31 different stars signed directly on the card.
Also included in the collection are the Marks of Excellence On-Card Autographs, released across several drops throughout the year, and the Only1 Autograph Card, which appears as a One-of-One Card no more than once in a player’s entire career. For the first time, Topps revealed the player featured on the Only1 Card – Marco van Basten – before the collection’s release.
Relic Cards
Collectors who enjoy relic pieces embedded in the cards will also find what they’re looking for in the 2024-25 TOPPS Inception UEFA collection. With the Wembley Warm-up Relics and the Wembley Warm-up Squad Book Card, this year’s Relic Cards are dedicated entirely to the 23/24 UEFA Champions League winners – Real Madrid C.F. – and contain memorabilia from the UEFA Champions League final in June 2024.
Autograph Relic Cards
Even more sought after than the pure relic cards are the versions that include an autograph, and Topps has packed plenty of them into the boxes of this collection. Five different categories await collectors, including the Autograph Patch Relics, the Club Crest Autograph Patch Relics, the Number 1 Patch Autograph Relics and the Wembley Warm-up Autograph Relics.
They are complemented by the Autograph Branded Patch Books and the Dual Autograph Patch Books, both of which come in a more premium, fold-out book format.
Availability
Each Hobby Box of the Topps UEFA Inception 2024/25 collection contains 1 Pack with 7 Cards. Inside, collectors will always find 1 Autograph Card and 2 numbered Parallel Cards.
The release date announced by Topps for 2024-25 TOPPS Inception UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards is Tuesday, the 30th of December 2025. Short-term changes to this date are possible at any time and should be taken into account.
More than a month before the collection’s release, Topps offers interested collectors the opportunity to secure one of the UCC Inception 2024/25 Boxes during a pre-sale on 27 November. From the official release date onward, the boxes will also be available from dealers specializing in sportscards.
