Description
Topps launched a new high-end sports card series last year with the Lineage Set dedicated to traditional English club Liverpool FC. The series continues this year with a set for the reigning world champions from Argentina, aiming to impress collectors with high-quality autograph, relic and autograph relic cards.
In the 2024 TOPPS Lineage Argentina Soccer Cards collection, collectors can look forward not only to the current stars of the Albiceleste, but also to the most promising young players and some of the greatest legends.
Base Cards
The collection consists of a 50-card base set, which Topps has divided into the three subsets typically used for Lineage releases: Bowman Prospects, Icons and Legends.
Parallels
Topps has produced 9 different parallel variants for these cards, numbered to /99 or lower.
Insert Cards
The collection is expanded by two insert categories: Lenticular Lineage, duo cards that use a lenticular effect to bring two players together on one card, and Dreamworthy Duo, a card featuring two of the greatest players Argentine football has ever produced: Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona.
Autograph Cards
Alongside the Base Autograph Cards featuring the designs of the three base subsets Bowman Prospects, Icons and Legends, collectors can also find Argentum Dual Autograph Cards featuring the signatures of two players in their box.
Relic Cards
Topps has divided the relic cards into 3 categories. These include Olimpico Relics from Javier Saviola commemorating the victory in the Olympic football tournament in Greece in 2004, King’s Colors Relics from 8 different players and the iconic The Greatest Maradona Boot Relic Card, featuring a piece of a football boot worn by the Argentine superstar in a match.
Autograph Relic Cards
4 of the King’s Colors Relics are also available as King’s Colors Autograph Relics, while the Olimpico Relic Card also has an autograph relic variant, additionally featuring the signature of the respective star.
Availability
Each Topps Argentina Lineage box contains 10 cards. 7 of these are base and insert cards, which Topps combines in one pack. In addition, there are three autograph, relic or autograph relic cards, which Topps includes in the boxes in magnetic holders.
The release date announced by Topps for 2024 TOPPS Lineage Argentina Soccer Cards is Wednesday, the 20th of November 2024.
From that date, the boxes are available from the Topps online shop or from retailers specializing in sports cards.
