France’s top league gets its first-ever Select collection from Panini with the 2025-26 PANINI Select Ligue 1 Soccer Cards. Per H2 Box, fans of French football can look forward to 2 autograph or memorabilia cards as well as 3 numbered parallels.

Description

Shortly after the final matchday of the 2025/26 season, Panini is releasing Select cards for France’s top division for the first time. The Select cards for Ligue 1 therefore join the previously released collections for Spain’s LaLiga and Italy’s Serie A.

The 2025-26 PANINI Select Ligue 1 Soccer Cards collection follows the structure of the Select collections familiar from recent years and includes all the categories that were already used in the two previously released collections for the other European leagues. What differs, however, is the product format Panini is using for the Select Ligue 1 collection. The H2 boxes used contain fewer hits than the hobby boxes that are otherwise usually used.

Base Cards

The BASE SET of the PANINI Select Ligue 1 2025/26 collection includes 250 cards and is divided into the three-tier system typical of Select collections, with different designs and increasing rarity: TERRACE and MEZZANINE each present 100 cards in portrait format, while FIELD LEVEL contains 50 cards in landscape format.

Parallels

For these cards, Panini has produced 20 parallel variants, one half of which is not numbered and the other half features numbering to /55 or lower. Whether all parallels can be pulled from the H2 Box or whether further product formats with exclusive parallels will be released is unclear at this time.

Insert Cards

For the insert cards, Panini uses the proven categories EQUALIZERS, SELECT FUTURE, SNAPSHOTS and UNSTOPPABLE, which can be found more frequently in the packs. Much rarer are the case-hit classified ARTISTIC IMPRESSIONS, TEAM BADGES, VISIONARY and the STAINED GLASS insert cards, which are extremely popular among collectors.

    • Autograph Cards

    The autograph cards in the collection are spread across six different categories. Panini complements the PITCHSIDE SIGNATURES, SELECT SIGNATURES and SIGNATURES known from previous years’ Select collections this year with the new SELECT FEW SIGNATURES, SELECT STARS SIGNATURES and the SELECT PAIRINGS Dual Autographs, which feature autographs from two current stars or legends of French football.

    Relic Cards

    Memorabilia can be found in the 4 categories typical of Select collections: DUAL SWATCHES, JUMBO SWATCHES, SELECT MEMORABILIA and SELECT SWATCHES.

    Autograph Relic Cards

    One highlight of the collection is the AUTOGRAPHED MEMORABILIA cards, which contain not only a player’s signature but also a jersey piece embedded into the card.

    Availability

    Each H2 Box of the collection contains 60 cards, divided across 12 packs with 5 cards each. According to Panini, these include on average 2 autograph, relic or autograph relic cards as well as 3 numbered parallel cards.

    The release date announced by Panini for 2025-26 PANINI Select Ligue 1 Soccer Cards is Friday, the 5th of June 2026. Short-term changes to this date are possible at any time and should be taken into account.

    From that point on, the boxes will be available in the Panini America online shop or from retailers specializing in sportscards.
