With the 2025 TOPPS Chrome Major League Soccer Cards, Topps accompanies the North American professional league MLS through another season. Collectors can look forward to 2 Autograph Cards and a special bonus pack celebrating the league’s 30th anniversary in every Hobby Box.
Description
The Topps Chrome Major League Soccer 2025 Cards bring the biggest stars of the MLS to collectors on Chrome-finished cards a little more than two months after the end of the season.
The most prominent figure of the league and a defining face of this collection is once again superstar Lionel Messi, whose cards will become the primary target for many collectors.
Collectors can chase the cards across three products. In addition to the Hobby Box and an affordable entry-level option in the form of Blaster Boxes, Topps, as in the previous season, once again offers the Mania Boxen primarily designed for breakers, which in this collection can also be purchased by end customers. Each variant features exclusive cards, ranging from parallel variants to entire categories that can only be found in the respective product variant.
Base Cards
The base set of the collection includes 200 cards featuring the best MLS players of the 2025 season, young talents, and the most well-known names from the 30-year history of the MLS.
The Base Cards are complemented by 2 Base Short Print Variation Cards of Heung-Min Son and Bob Marley.
Parallels
Collectors can expect 32 Parallel variations, of which 24 are numbered and 8 are unnumbered. The highest numbering is /250, found only in Blasters with the Pink Mini-Diamonds. In Hobby Boxes, the highest variation is numbered to /199, and in Mania Boxes to /99.
Insert Cards
Topps has integrated numerous new Insert categories into the 2025 MLS Chrome collection, including FAST LANE, ELIMINATION, CLASS OF THEIR OWN and HELIX Inserts.
Also returning after a one-year break are the PEARLERS Inserts and the BIG CITY STRIKERS, as well as their once again included BIG CITY SKYLIGHT VARIATIONS, which are significantly rarer and appear only once per case.
In the MLS 30 Years Celebration Packs, which are included exclusively as a bonus in the Hobby Boxes, collectors will find the TOPPS 1995 Inserts featuring stars and legends from MLS history.
Superstar Lionel Messi is honored with the MVP Insert category, and one lucky collector may also find the MLS TROPHY in SuperFractor style.
Collectors of the cross-collection THE GRAIL series will find in this release the final card of the 9-part category dedicated to Lionel Messi for the 2024/25 season, showing him in his Inter Miami kit.
Autograph Cards
In addition to the BASE AUTOGRAPHS, collectors can pull DUAL AUTOGRAPHS featuring the autographs of two players from the packs of the collection. With the RENAISSANCE Cards, which have also appeared as a standalone collection, Topps has integrated high-quality on-card Autograph Cards into the 2025 Major League Soccer collection.
A very special collectible is the MLS ANNIVERSARY AUTOGRAPH BOOK Card, created for the 30th anniversary, which contains the autographs of 30 stars and legends from the still relatively young history of the MLS.
Relic Cards
Topps, MLS and Apple TV have together created the first MLS X APPLE TV PATCH RELIC Cards, designed to reflect the colors, traditions and identities of all 30 teams. Two players per team received these 1-of-1 SuperFractor-produced cards that include a large match-worn jersey piece featuring the Apple TV logo.
Autograph Relic Cards
Among the Autograph Relic Cards, collectors will find numerous special highlights, beginning with the 1-of-1 MLS DEBUT PATCH AUTOGRAPH RELIC Cards, which highlight one of the most significant moments in a player’s MLS career.
Other rare cards celebrate the debut of football prodigy Cavan Sullivan and superstar Lionel Messi.
Availability
Each Hobby Box contains 84 cards distributed across 21 packs with 4 cards each. One of these packs is the MLS 30 Years Celebration Pack, which exclusively includes the Topps 1995 Insert and Autograph Cards.
The beginner-friendly Blaster Boxes, referred to by Topps as Value Boxes, contain 28 cards across 7 packs. Each box delivers 4 exclusive RayWave Parallel Cards.
The Mania Boxes include 4 encased Autograph Cards and 1 pack with 12 cards.
The release date announced by Topps for 2025 TOPPS Chrome Major League Soccer Cards is Thursday, the 19th of February 2026.
Products of the Topps Chrome MLS collection will be available from that date on the Topps website or from retailers specializing in sports cards.
