The 2025 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Tennis Cards bring tennis fans premium chrome cards in the signature blue sapphire look. From each hobby box, collectors can pull one autograph card and 3 numbered parallel cards.
Description
With the 2025 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Tennis Cards, the premium and significantly more limited version of the standard Tennis Chrome release from February of this year is released. The cards stand out thanks to the characteristic sapphire pattern in the background, although for this tennis collection Topps uses the typical blue color of Sapphire collections in a much more subtle way than usual.
Base Cards
The base set of the 2025 Tennis Sapphire Edition includes 300 cards and is identical in content to the base set of the standard Chrome release. This increases the size of the collection in this area by 100 cards compared to the previous year’s edition.
Parallels
Collectors will find 5 parallel variants in the product, with the highest numbering being /75 (Green). Additional parallels include Orange (/25), Purple (/10), Red (/5), and the Padparadscha (1/1) parallel variant, which exists only once per card.
Although Topps advertises Gold parallels numbered to /50 as part of the release, these apparently are not included in the collection. An odds overview would shed more light on this, but Topps has once again withheld it from collectors to this day.
Insert Cards
Compared to the previous year’s edition, Topps expands the collection with the Sapphire Selection insert cards, which are typical for Sapphire collections and only found there. However, tennis collectors will once again have to do without the Infinite Sapphire inserts known from other sports.
Autograph Cards
For autograph cards, the collection is limited to base autographs, of which 162 different ones can be pulled from packs, which is even 6 more than in the standard Chrome release.
Availability
Each 2025 Topps Chrome Tennis Sapphire Edition hobby box contains 32 cards. These are distributed across 8 packs with 4 cards each. According to Topps, these always include 1 autograph card and 3 numbered parallel cards.
The release date announced by Topps for 2025 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Tennis Cards is Friday, the 20th of March 2026.
From that point on, the boxes will be available in the Topps online shop or from retailers specializing in sports cards.
