For the second time, Topps is launching its new Premium series, with the high-quality Cards this time dedicated to the team of PSG from the French capital. Per 2023-24 TOPPS Premium Black & White Edition Paris Saint-Germain Soccer Cards Box, collectors will find 5 Cards, including 1 Autograph, 1 Relic and 1 Autograph Relic Card.
Description
Just before the end of the year, Topps once again takes a step back into the previous season to present fans of Paris Saint-Germain with a high-end product featuring the stars from the 2023/24 campaign. The collaboration between Topps and PSG treats collectors and fans of the French capital club to the 2023-24 TOPPS Premium Black & White Edition Paris Saint-Germain Soccer Cards.
Visually, the collection is based on the Premium Cards released in summer 2024 for the German team Borussia Dortmund. However, for this release Topps has not packed the boxes quite as extensively as the metal cases of the debut release for BVB.
Each box of the collection contains 5 Cards, including at least 1 Autograph Card, 1 Relic Card and 1 Autograph Relic Card. These are complemented by 2 Base Cards from the collection. All Base, Autograph, Relic and Autograph Relic Cards of the Topps Premium PSG collection are numbered, with the highest numbering being /49.
As a high-end set, the collection relies predominantly, but not exclusively, on the on-card autographs that are particularly popular with collectors. Especially for superstars who no longer play for Paris, such as Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho or Zlatan Ibrahimović, collectors should expect sticker autographs on the Cards.
Base Cards
The Base Set of the collection consists of 50 Cards and is divided – in line with the collection name – into the two areas Black and White, each containing 25 Cards of players from the current squad on either a black or white background.
Parallels
Every Card in the Paris Saint-Germain Premium collection is numbered. This starts with the standard Cards decorated with silver frame ornaments, numbered to /49, and continues through the parallel versions Emerald (/30), Amber (/25), Black (/10) and Ruby (/5), all the way to the Gold version, which exists only once per Card (1/1).
Autograph Cards
The Autograph Cards are also available, analogous to the Base Cards, in a white and a black version. The Premium Black Autograph Cards are the slightly rarer variant and also include fewer parallels than the white Autograph Cards.
However, fans of Paris Saint-Germain can especially look forward to the Triple Autograph Cards, with the Card featuring the three superstars Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimović likely becoming the prime chase Card of the collection.
Relic Cards
The visual highlight of the Topps Paris Saint-Germain Premium 2023/24 collection is without question the Relic Book Card of the Starting XI, which combines Relics from 11 players on a single Book Card.
Autograph Relic Cards
The Autograph Relic Cards also have plenty to offer visually with the Eiffel Tower Autograph Relics. For these, Topps has placed the silhouette of the Parisian landmark in front of the jersey piece embedded in the Card. They are complemented by the Premium Autograph Relics, the Third Kit Autograph Relics that exist only once per player, and the Triple Autograph Relics featuring autographs and memorabilia from 3 players of the French capital club.
Availability
Each box of the TOPPS Premium PSG collection contains 5 Cards. These are divided into 1 Autograph Card, 1 Relic Card and 1 Autograph Relic Card, as well as 2 numbered Base Cards.
The release date announced by Topps for 2023-24 TOPPS Premium Black & White Edition Paris Saint-Germain Soccer Cards is Monday, the 2nd of December 2024.
The PSG Premium Black & White Boxes are offered via the Topps online shop or through retailers specialized in Sports Cards.
