The 2024-25 TOPPS AFC Ajax 125th Anniversary Soccer Cards collection offers fans of the “Godenzonen” 4 Encased Autograph Cards and 1 numbered Parallel Card in a high-quality collector’s box.
Description
Following AC Milan and FC Bayern, the Dutch side AFC Ajax joins the list of major European clubs celebrating their 125th anniversary during the 2024/25 season. Around half a year after the club’s anniversary was celebrated on 18 March with a large fan festival in the centre of Amsterdam, Topps releases the 2024-25 TOPPS AFC Ajax 125th Anniversary Soccer Cards collection.
This collection is modelled after the AC Milan anniversary collection from earlier this year, meaning that those already familiar with the set for the northern Italian top club will have a good idea of what to expect here.
Base Cards
Topps classifies all Base Cards in this set as numbered Parallels, meaning that there are no standard Base Card versions in the traditional sense.
Parallels
A total of 7 parallel variants are included in the AFC Ajax 125th Anniversary collection. The highest-numbered version is limited to /99, which also represents the upper limit for the entire collection. The other numbering levels are /75, /50, /25, /10, /5 and 1/1 — the latter existing only once per card.
Autograph Cards
The main focus of the collection is on the Autograph and Autograph Relic Cards, which appear in a 4:1 ratio compared to the Base Cards inside the Boxes.
This anniversary collection focuses less on the current squad and more on the legends from the club’s most successful eras. Ajax fans can look forward to illustrious signers such as Johan Neeskens, Frank Rijkaard, Rafael van der Vaart, Ronald Koeman and Clarence Seedorf.
The collection also features Dual and Triple Autograph Cards, giving collectors the chance to find multiple legendary signatures on a single card.
A highlight for On-Card Autograph fans are the four Autograph Cards signed directly on-card by Wesley Sneijder, Dennis Bergkamp, Marco van Basten and Louis van Gaal.
Autograph Relic Cards
Described by Topps as the “Holy Grail” of the collection, one lucky collector will find a cut autograph of Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff in their Box.
Availability
Each Box of the collection contains 5 Cards, all securely encased in magnetic holders by Topps. Of these, 4 are Autograph Cards and 1 is a numbered Parallel Card.
The release date announced by Topps for 2024-25 TOPPS AFC Ajax 125th Anniversary Soccer Cards is Tuesday, the 16th of September 2025.
The Topps AFC Ajax 125th Anniversary Boxes will be available via Topps’ European online shops and through specialist sports card retailers.
