With the Chrome collection for the European club competitions, Topps is bringing its largest and most well-known soccer cards release to collectors. In the 2024-25 TOPPS Chrome UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards collection, collectors can look forward to a wide variety of different product configurations and a full rainbow spectrum of color parallels.
Description
For the first time in six years, Topps is launching the Chrome collection for the European club competitions before the end of the ongoing season, offering football fans a broad cross-section of teams and players from the three competitions: UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League.
Base Cards
The 2024-25 TOPPS Chrome UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards collection features a 200-card base set. Alongside established stars, collectors will also find numerous Future Stars and Rookies.
Parallels
A defining feature of the Chrome release is the large number of produced parallel versions. Up to 44 different variants of a single base card can be collected. To complete the full set, collectors will need to obtain all the different product types offered for this collection, as Topps includes some parallels exclusively in certain products.
Most parallels are numbered (to /299 or lower), with only eight unnumbered parallel variants included in the packs. Further details on which parallels are available in which products can be found in the checklist at the end of the article.
Insert Cards
The collection is expanded with 14 insert categories. As with the parallels, some of these inserts can only be found in specific products. In addition, there are two more cards from the cross-collection “The Grail” Project, in which collectors can assemble a nine-card image featuring superstar Lionel Messi.
Autograph Cards
A special highlight for autograph card collectors is the introduction of Quad Autograph Cards, featuring signatures from four top stars from the same club. This is the first time Topps has included this format in a Chrome soccer collection.
Another exclusive collectible is the Campeone Autograph Book Cards, which will initially only be available as Redemption Cards in products. These can be ordered by entering a code on the Topps website.
Availability
In addition to the standard Hobby Boxes, which contain one autograph card, Topps is once again offering Jumbo Boxes, which include three autograph cards, among them one product-exclusive Black Lazer Autograph.
For breakers, Topps is retaining the Breakers Delight format, whose boxes contain no base cards, but only autograph, parallels, and insert cards, some of which are also product-exclusive. Breakers Delight boxes are not intended for end customers and are therefore not offered for direct purchase by Topps.
Collectors with a smaller budget can enjoy the collection through Blaster Boxes or Hanger Boxes, which also include product-exclusive parallels and inserts that are not found in the more expensive boxes.
No details have yet been announced regarding the Hongbao product version, which will likely be offered primarily in the Asian market.
Later in the year, slightly adapted collections based on this release will follow, including a Logofractor Edition and the Sapphire Edition known from previous years, featuring elegant blue shimmering cards.
The release date announced by Topps for 2024-25 TOPPS Chrome UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards is Thursday, the 15th of May 2025.
The products will be available from that date in the Topps online shop and from specialized sports cards retailers.
