Description
Last year, Topps caused plenty of confusion among collectors with its decision not to release a Stadium Club Chrome collection for the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League season. The numerous reactions from the collector community apparently did not go unheard: This fall, the Stadium Club Chrome Soccer Cards are making their comeback and, with their distinctive visual style, once again provide a welcome change from the other collections released during a season.
One of the defining features of Stadium Club Chrome collections has always been their exceptional choice of imagery. Instead of showing the stars exclusively in match action, the series regularly features shots from training sessions, from the players’ surroundings or from everyday situations. It is precisely this mix that gives the collection its special character and makes it a firm favorite on the annual release calendar for many collectors.
Attentive collectors already got a first taste of the new collection one day after the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. Topps released a preview of a card featuring the iconic photoshoot in which Lionel Messi is holding a freshly bathed Lamine Yamal in his arms during Yamal’s first year of life.
As soon as Topps releases more information and details about the collection, this article will be expanded accordingly.
