Description
For the first time, Topps is releasing a Chrome Sapphire Edition featuring Disney trading cards. It builds on the success of the Disney Chrome cards released in October with the elegant Sapphire cards, although in a significantly smaller print run than the main collection.
Base Cards
In the 2024 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Disney Trading Cards collection, Disney fans will find the familiar base set of 200 cards from the main Chrome collection, featuring popular characters from the movies and comics. This time, the cards come in the distinctive blue Sapphire look typical of the Sapphire Edition.
Parallels
Due to the significantly smaller overall print run, the Disney Sapphire Edition features only 6 different parallel variants, numbered /50 or lower.
Insert Cards
Things are also much simpler when it comes to insert categories. Topps has not carried over any of the insert categories from the main collection to the Sapphire Edition. This means that the Sapphire Selections insert category, exclusive to this product, remains the only insert set in the collection.
Autograph Cards
Topps has also decided not to include the facsimile autograph cards in the Sapphire Edition. As a result, the low-numbered parallels featuring Disney characters remain the highlight of the collection.
Availability
Each hobby box of 2024 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Disney Cards contains 32 cards, divided into 8 packs with 4 cards each. According to Topps, these always include 4 numbered parallel cards.
The release date announced by Topps for 2024 TOPPS Chrome Sapphire Edition Disney Trading Cards is Tuesday, the 3rd of December 2024.
From that date, the Disney Sapphire boxes will be available from Topps’ European online shops. Once Topps has shipped them, they should also be available from retailers specializing in trading cards.
