Description
Topps’ first official Chrome collection for a European Football Championship is released just under 18 weeks after the spectacular tournament final between Spain and England at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.
After several “Road to” collections, which focused on the qualifying matches for the tournament, and the UEFA Euro Match Attax Trading Card Game, this is, following the Jose Mourinho Curated Set Soccer Cards, the second hobby collection dedicated to the major event of last summer and the first to contain cards from all 24 participating nations.
However, it should not be overlooked that Topps once again does not hold full licenses for the teams from Germany, England, France and Italy for this collection and therefore cannot show the players from those teams in their original kits and with the official federation crest.
Base Cards
At the heart of the collection is a base set comprising 150 cards, featuring the stars and most promising young players from the 24 nations that took part in the tournament in Germany last summer. In addition, Topps has produced two image variations of the base cards. The Hero Variations in comic book style and the Cast in Gold Die-Cut Variations in the shape of a gold nugget, which pay tribute to the most valuable players.
Parallels
The base cards come with 15 parallel variants. These include the XI Parallels, newly introduced by Topps this year and already enjoying great popularity, with embossed numbering in Roman numerals. Two of the parallel variants are unnumbered, while the rest are numbered to /199 or lower.
Insert Cards
Collectors can also look forward to 12 insert categories. While the 1960 Topps Chrome, Cheat Code, Dream Big, Neon Nations and Ultimate Showdown insert cards will appear relatively frequently in packs, the remaining insert categories are significantly rarer.
For example, European Tour inserts can only be found 1x per case, while Berlin at Night inserts appear in just every 8th case, meaning only in every 96th box on average. Other rare inserts include the Hobby Masters already known from other collections, the Era of Excellence inserts dedicated to Cristiano Ronaldo, the Team Logos limited to 24 copies per card and the mascot Albärt.
The collection also includes 22 hand-drawn Sketch cards, each of which is unique.
Autograph Cards
Topps spreads the autograph cards across 14 different categories, including Dual and Triple Autographs featuring current stars and legends. Collectors can look forward to 1 autograph card per hobby box of the Topps UEFA EURO 2024 Chrome collection.
A special highlight of the collection is the UEFA Players of the Year Autograph Book Card, featuring the signatures of 12 players who have received this award from UEFA in recent years.
Autograph Relic Cards
The Official Draw Autograph Relic Cards, already familiar from the Champions League collections, also make their way into the EURO collection. Topps was able to secure the draw slips drawn at the UEFA EURO 2024 draw at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and incorporate them into trading cards.
Availability
Each hobby box of the collection contains 80 cards, spread across 8 packs with 10 cards each. According to Topps, collectors should always find 1 autograph card featuring one of the collection’s stars per box.
The release date announced by Topps for 2024 TOPPS Chrome UEFA Euro Soccer Cards is Wednesday, the 13th of November 2024.
The hobby boxes will be available from that date in the Topps online shop or from retailers specializing in sports cards.

Ist Chapter XXIV nicht aus dieser Serie? Kürzel CX
Doch.
