Description
For Topps, the second Premier League year since regaining the licensing rights has begun, with the Flagship release opening the season and simultaneously laying the foundation for the other collections of the 2026/27 campaign. After last year’s edition presented a product that attempted to strike a balance between traditional European set collecting and the American-influenced approach of collecting individual players and teams, the 2026-27 TOPPS Flagship Premier League Soccer Cards release marks the next milestone in this transition process for the current season.
This year, only the extensive product line-up, featuring formats familiar from the Match Attax collections such as Multipacks, Eco Packs, Tins and Display Boxes, still recalls Premier League collections from previous years. As in the previous year, these are complemented by Hobby Boxes which are common in American sports card collections and, unlike the retail products mentioned above, offer significantly better chances of finding Autograph Cards and rare Insert Cards.
While the retail products will already be available in the United Kingdom from the beginning of August and internationally around 2 weeks later, the Hobby Boxes will be released about a month later, just as they were for the previous year’s edition.
Base Cards
The collection’s BASE SET consists of 300 cards featuring the current players and young rising stars of the 20 Premier League teams from the 2026/27 season. Due to the collection’s early release date, around two weeks before the start of the new season, every collector should be aware that the collection can only reflect the situation at the end of the previous season and does not include any transfers announced after that point.
Parallels
The collection’s 37 Parallel variants provide a colourful collecting experience, with 7 unnumbered versions and the remaining 30 numbered to /499 or lower. As with last year’s edition, Topps uses three different patterns with the True Color, Mini-Diamonds and Sparkle Parallels, each assigned to specific product formats.
Insert Cards
Topps has broadly divided the cards from the 25 themed Insert Sets into the main categories COMMON Inserts, rarer UNCOMMON Inserts, particularly rare CASE HITS and SHORT PRINTS, as well as product-specific EXCLUSIVE INSERTS. These are joined by GOLD LIONS and CHROME CLASSICS, which Topps apparently did not want to assign to any of the previously mentioned categories.
Autograph Cards
According to Topps, the Autograph Cards feature one of the most extensive selections ever assembled for a Premier League release. In addition to the 165 BASE AUTOGRAPHS, collectors can also look forward to signed versions of the Insert categories Black Edge Edition, Chrome Classics, Mayhem, On Fire, Perfect 10, Stars of the Premier League and Vibes.
They are complemented by the FUTURE STARS AUTOGRAPHS, featuring the signatures of the league’s rising talents, as well as the DUAL AUTOGRAPHS, featuring the signatures of two stars on one card.
The collection also includes a considerable number of On-Card Autographs, which are particularly popular among collectors. The GOLDEN BOOT AUTOGRAPHS, the cross-collection MARKS OF EXCELLENCE AUTOGRAPHS and the rare 25 YEARS CHAMPIONS ANNIVERSARY AUTOGRAPHS were all signed directly on the cards by the stars.
Relic & Autograph Relic Cards
With the BASE RELICS, Topps brings pieces of the stars’ jerseys to the trading cards. The AUTOGRAPH RELICS and PREMIER CLASS AUTOGRAPH RELICS, which combine jersey pieces with signatures, are somewhat more premium and sought-after.
Availability
While buyers of the more affordable retail products will need a great deal of luck to find a signed card in their packs, buyers of the Hobby Boxes arriving in September can expect 3 Autograph or Relic Cards in each box.
The release date announced by Topps for 2026-27 TOPPS Flagship Premier League Soccer Cards is Thursday, the 6th of August 2026.
From this date, the majority of the products will be available from retailers in the United Kingdom. Topps already began the presale of the products in its own online shop on July 27. Internationally, the products are expected around 2 weeks later. The Hobby Boxes and Golden Boot Tins will follow at a later date, with further details provided in the product overview below.

You might want to check the eco pack. 2 packs with 5 cards is 10 cards plus the coupe of extras doesn’t make 25 which it says on the box???
Looks like things got mixed up because of the different pack sizes inside. Thanks for the heads-up, it’s been adjusted.
