Description
With Mangaverse, Panini is launching a new brand featuring fully illustrated cards designed by artists in the style of Japanese comics and graphic novels. The collection covers a wide range of players, from college athletes to NFL stars and legends of the sport. While Panini can feature some of the college stars in their official team uniforms thanks to the NIL license, the NFL players and legends have to make do with neutral jerseys.
Alongside the hobby boxes, the new Mangaverse collection will also offer more affordable blaster boxes, available at Target, Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods, featuring exclusive parallels and Winter Wonderland inserts.
Base Cards
The collection’s BASE SET consists of 100 cards featuring the stars of the collection.
Insert Cards
A wide range of themed insert cards is planned for the 2026 PANINI Mangaverse Football collection. Collectors can look forward to categories such as FASHIONISTA, KAWAII, WAY OF THE WARRIOR, MURALS, ORIGIN STORY and the STARCADE inserts, which Panini has announced as Super-Short-Print (SSP) cards.
The WINTER WONDERLAND inserts, found only in blaster boxes, are exclusive to that product format, while the BLANK SLATE insert cards, also classified as SSP, are reserved for hobby boxes.
Autograph Cards
The autograph cards feature signatures from college stars as well as legends of the sport.
Availability
Each hobby box in the collection contains 36 cards, spread across 6 packs with 6 cards each. According to Panini, these should include 1 autograph card and 3 numbered parallel cards.
The beginner-friendly blaster boxes contain 1 pack with 15 cards, including 1 of the exclusive Winter Wonderland insert cards.
The release date announced by Panini for 2026 PANINI Mangaverse Football Cards is Wednesday, the 25th of November 2026. Short-term changes to this date are possible at any time and should be taken into account.
From that date, the hobby boxes will be available from the Panini America online store or from retailers specializing in sports cards.
