Description

With the 2026 Topps Vault Marvel Cards, not only does a new Marvel collection make its debut, but so does the Topps Vault brand. Under this name, Topps plans to release particularly high-priced entertainment products in the future, with autographs, memorabilia, original artwork and elaborate card constructions taking center stage.

The 2026 Topps Vault Marvel Cards, which launch the brand, combine classic Marvel characters with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and feature productions including Loki, Agatha All Along and Ironheart. Vault Marvel does not follow a classic pack structure with Base Cards, Inserts and occasional hits. Each Hobby Box contains only two regular cards, which are Autograph, Relic, Autograph Relic or Sketch Cards.

Film and TV memorabilia play a particularly prominent role. Among other items, pieces of Captain America’s shield and Thor’s Stormbreaker have been incorporated into the cards. There is also a star-studded autograph lineup featuring names such as Harrison Ford, Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Pratt and other MCU cast members. Florence Pugh also makes her autograph debut in a Topps Marvel release.

Base Cards

Anyone expecting a classic Base Set from Vault Marvel will not find one. The collection does away with the usual foundation of regular cards and focuses directly on the higher-end categories.

Parallels

Topps also takes a restrained approach to the Parallel variants, ensuring that the exclusivity of the collection is maintained through the low print run. Vault Marvel therefore focuses on just a few levels, including the Black (/10), Red (/5) and Gold (1/1) Parallels.

Insert Cards

A classic Insert program only plays a secondary role in Vault Marvel. VAULT ORIGINALS comprises 20 designs featuring artwork by Ariel Diaz and is included as a Box Topper. In selected boxes, a large-format Sketch Card may be included instead of the regular Vault Originals Box Topper.

Original artwork is an important part of the collection in its own right. Premiere Sketches and Golden Sketches bring hand-drawn one-of-ones to the product. The artist lineup features several prominent names, including Marvel greats such as Frank Miller, Arthur Adams, Whilce Portacio, Stanley “Artgerm” Lau and Ron Lim.

Autograph Cards

Autographs are one of the main focuses of the 2026 Topps Vault Marvel collection. Topps uses a mix of single, dual, triple and quad signatures. A large proportion of the announced cards feature on-card autographs.

INK 616 is among the classic single-autograph offerings and brings numerous well-known MCU cast members onto the cards. Alongside Chris Evans, Elizabeth Olsen, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston and Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh can also be found here in her role as Yelena Belova. For Pugh, this is her first autograph in a corresponding Marvel release from Topps.

One visual highlight is the LACED IN GOLD AUTOGRAPHS, limited to 25 copies, on which the signatures have been applied in gold ink.

With DUAL AUTOGRAPHS and TRIPLE AUTOGRAPHS, the collection also includes cards featuring two or three signatures respectively. The combinations are often based on actors appearing together in the same films or series. The Triple Autographs include Chris Evans / Sebastian Stan / Anthony Mackie, Forest Whitaker / Angela Bassett / Michael B. Jordan and Tom Hiddleston / Owen Wilson / Sophia Di Martino.

The ASGARD LITERATURE QUAD AUTOGRAPHS BOOKS go one step further. These appear as four-panel fold-out booklet cards and, simply because of their construction, rank among the more eye-catching signature cards in the collection.

Also included are the IMMORTAL AUTOGRAPHS, which appear as Chrome cards and likewise feature on-card autographs. The signer lineup includes Ryan Reynolds, Brie Larson, Hugh Jackman, Hailee Steinfeld and Anthony Hopkins, among others.

Relic Cards

Relic Cards also make up a large part of the Vault Marvel collection. Instead of limiting itself to costume fabrics, Topps frequently uses production materials and props whose origins can be directly linked to a film, a series or a specific character.

VAULT RELICS showcases this range particularly well. Materials used include pieces from an Aircraft Cockpit, the Presidential Podium of President Thaddeus Ross, the sofa from the Stark Tower Penthouse and props from the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.

With FROM THE SET RELICS, the TV series Agatha All Along, Ironheart and Loki take center stage. The production materials used include a spirit board set, a tarot book, a denim jacket, parts of a Plymouth Barracuda and material from Loki’s throne.

VAULT ARMORY RELICS create a particularly direct connection between the character and the prop. Here, the Relics come from the weapons of the respective characters. Captain America is represented with material from a stunt shield, Star-Lord with his blaster and Thor with a stunt Stormbreaker. Gamora’s and Valkyrie’s swords are also included, as is Ronin’s sword.

MARVEL DIAMONDS RELICS and TRUE GREATNESS RELICS take a different approach. They expand the classic memorabilia segment with elaborately designed premium cards in which real diamonds form part of the cards themselves.

Autograph Relic Cards

Many of the Relic concepts described above also appear in Vault Marvel in combination with autographs. VAULT ARMORY AUTOGRAPHS and FROM THE SET AUTOGRAPHS add the signatures of the cast members to the respective memorabilia, bringing prop, character and actor together on a single card.

Alongside the classic AUTOGRAPH RELICS, the collection also includes DUAL AUTOGRAPH RELICS and TRIPLE AUTOGRAPH RELICS. While the single versions combine one signature with production material, the dual and triple cards bring together multiple cast members and Relics. One of the more elaborate examples is a triple version featuring Chris Evans, Harrison Ford and Anthony Mackie, combining three signatures with three different pieces of memorabilia.

THE VAULT is even more complex. Here, Topps creates a booklet format designed to look like a vault, combining autographs and Relics in a more elaborate card construction.

MARVEL DIAMONDS AUTOGRAPHS and TRUE GREATNESS AUTOGRAPHS also revisit the previously introduced Relic series and combine the stars’ signatures with real diamonds.

Each 2026 TOPPS Vault Marvel Studios Trading Cards Hobby Box, designed in the style of a fold-open vault, contains 2 packs with 1 card each. It also includes a Vault Original or an Oversized Premiere Sketch Card as a Box Topper.

The release date announced by Topps for 2026 TOPPS Vault Marvel Studios Trading Cards is Wednesday, the 23rd of September 2026. Short-term changes to this date are possible at any time and should be taken into account.

From that point on, the boxes will be available from the Topps online shop or from retailers specializing in sportscards. Interested collectors already had the opportunity on August 11 to preorder one of the boxes for $679.99 via the EQL process on the Topps website.
