For the fourth time, Topps releases Stadium Club Chrome Soccer Cards and this year focuses exclusively on the premier competition of European football. Collectors will find 3 numbered parallels and 1 Autograph Card in the Hobby Boxes of the 2023-24 TOPPS Stadium Club Chrome UEFA Champions League Soccer Cards.

Description

Collectors had to wait a long time this year for one of the most popular sets in Topps’ annual release calendar. Known for their vibrant photography, the cards from the 2023-24 TOPPS Stadium Club Chrome UEFA Champions League Soccer Cards collection offer some variety compared to Topps’ other soccer releases.

One of the most notable differences compared to last year becomes clear directly in the title of the collection. This year it is once again a pure UEFA Champions League collection, with the other UEFA club competitions left out this time.

Topps adopts the Breaker’s Delight Box product format known from the UEFA Chrome collection under a slightly modified name for the 2023-24 TOPPS Stadium Club Chrome UEFA Champions League Soccer collection. Under the title “Member’s Only”, a box primarily intended for breakers and not for end customers is released, featuring significantly fewer base and insert cards and containing mainly Autograph Cards, exclusive inserts and parallels.

Base Cards

The base set of this year’s Stadium Club Chrome release includes the usual 100 cards from previous years, presenting collectors with the prominent stars and most promising young talents from the teams of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League season. All of this in the typical Stadium Club style, which also shows players during training or outside the pitch.

Parallels

There are 17 parallel variants for the base cards, fifteen of which are numbered to /299 or lower. In addition, there are the two unnumbered Pink/Red Electric Charge, which are included once in every box, as well as the Refractor parallels that accompany every release.

Compared to last year, this is 4 variants fewer, and the numbering to /350 introduced last year is also removed again, so an overall lower print run than last season can be assumed.

Insert Cards

The base cards are complemented by 8 insert categories. The Beam Team and Glimpses of Gold inserts known from previous years are joined by the new categories Fully Charged, Main Stage, Say Cheese!. In addition, there are the Member’s Only exclusive 32 in 32 inserts, the final The Grail card of Cristiano Ronaldo whose cards were distributed across several collections, and the unannounced Hidden Gems cards.

Autograph Cards

The Autograph Cards, one of which can be found in every Topps Stadium Club Chrome Hobby Box, are divided into four different categories. Alongside the base autographs, the collection also includes Cosigners dual Autograph Cards. In addition, there are the Behind the Lens Autographs known from last year and Autograph Cards for the Beam Team insert category.

For the Base Autographs, Topps introduces special parallels for the Members Only boxes, distinguished from the variants found in the Hobby Boxes by a Member’s Only stamp.

Relic & Autograph Relic Cards

Topps newly adds Relic and Autograph Relic Cards to the collection. Besides Instavision Lenticular Relic Cards and Rivalvision Lenticular Relic Book Cards, collectors can find Stadium Spirit Seat Relic Cards in packs, which contain pieces of original stadium seats. An idea Topps already implemented this year in the Premium collection for BVB.

Even more exclusive are the Stadium Spirit Autograph Seat Relic Cards, which include a piece of a stadium seat and an additional player autograph.

Availability

The Hobby Boxes of the collection contain 120 cards distributed across 20 packs with 6 cards each. These always include 1 Autograph Card and 3 numbered parallel cards.

The breaker-exclusive Members Only Boxes contain only 1 pack with 12 cards, but include 2 Autograph Cards, one of which is always one of the product-exclusive Members Only Autograph Cards. These boxes also feature exclusive Member’s Only parallels as well as insert, Autograph and Image Variation cards only found there.

The release date announced by Topps for 2023-24 TOPPS Stadium Club Chrome UEFA Champions League Soccer Cards is Wednesday, the 23rd of October 2024.

The Hobby Boxes will be available from that date in the Topps online shop or from retailers specialized in sportscards.
