With Decades, Topps launches a new series for all fans of legendary players from past eras. It begins with the 1990s, delivering to collectors per 2025 TOPPS Decades 1990’s Edition UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards Box three numbered Parallels and one Autograph Card featuring some of the most significant players of that decade.

Description

With the newly created Decades series, Topps turns its attention to football history and the most iconic player personalities of an era. The 1990s mark the debut of this new line, a decade defined by eye-catching kits, distinctive hairstyles, and a down-to-earth style of play.

The design of the 2025 TOPPS Decades 1990’s Edition UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards was inspired by the media aesthetics of the 1990s — from early computer graphics and teletext designs to magazines, TV formats, and advertising.

Base Cards

The collection features 124 Base Cards, divided by Topps into 11 themed subsets. These include categories such as Terrace Heroes (fan favorites), Mercurial Talents (exceptional talents), Pioneers (trailblazers), as well as subsets presenting typical player types like the Target Man (classic center forward), the Big Man At The Back (robust defensive leader), and Silky Skills (technically gifted players).

Partnership and Triple Threat highlight famous player duos and trios of the decade, while the Iconic Kits subset showcases some of the most striking and now legendary shirts of that era.

The Decades 90’s Edition also includes a subset dedicated to adidas Predator football boots, a cult product of the 1990s. Exclusive advertising photographs from the time, featuring stars such as Zinédine Zidane and Rui Costa, were specially prepared for these trading cards.

The Planet Football category shifts the focus beyond the pitch to influential football personalities, including famous British commentators such as Clive Tyldesley and Jim Rosenthal, legendary coaches like Sir Alex Ferguson, and iconic referee Pierluigi Collina.

Parallels

Topps has produced six different Parallel versions of the Base Cards for the 2025 TOPPS Decades 90’s Edition, all numbered to /99 or lower, with three Parallels found in each Decades 1990 Box.

Autograph Cards

Each Topps UEFA Decades Box contains 36 trading cards, split across six packs of six cards each. Every box includes one guaranteed Autograph Card and the three numbered Parallels mentioned above. Particularly lucky collectors may find an additional bonus autograph from the Planet Football category. On average, one in every eight boxes contains one of these bonus autographs.

Autograph Relic Cards

A special highlight of the collection are the Autograph Relic Cards featuring rare match-worn retro shirt pieces from stars such as Alessandro Costacurta, Francesco Totti, Oliver Kahn, Paul Gascoigne, and Rivaldo.

Availability

The release date announced by Topps for 2025 TOPPS Decades 1990s Edition UEFA Club Competitions Soccer Cards is Tuesday, the 6th of May 2025.

The Topps Decades Boxes will be available from that date through Topps online shops. Visitors to the new Fanatics Collectibles flagship store in London already had the chance to secure their boxes during an exclusive pre-sale phase starting 25 April, at a price of £90.00.
