The Marvel Mint Cards are entering their second year with Topps. Just like the debut collection, the 2026 TOPPS Mint Marvel Trading Cards are celebrating their early premiere at San Diego Comic-Con, where visitors can purchase a special SDCC box variant. All other collectors and fans of Marvel characters will get to enjoy the cards around a month later, when the regular Hobby boxes are released.

Description
For the second time, Topps is releasing Marvel cards under the Mint label and bringing collectors a mixed collection of paper and Chrome cards. Each box in the collection contains 1 pack with 10 cards and one box hit. This comes as an encased card protected by a magnetic holder and is also the eleventh card in every box.
As in the previous year, the collection celebrates its premiere at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), around a month before the official release date, with a box produced especially for the event. Inside, collectors will find exclusive parallels and, with a bit of luck, can also pull one of three exclusive insert cards designed by Ian McDonald from their packs.
Base Cards
The collection’s BASE SET is divided into the four-tier system characteristic of the MINT collections, consisting of BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD and PLATINUM cards with increasing rarity. For this year’s release, Topps has expanded the Platinum tier, which features the most important characters, by 5 cards, bringing the total number of base cards to 125. According to Topps, collectors can expect 4 Bronze, 3 Silver and 2 Gold base cards per box.
Parallels
The collection’s 11 parallel variants are distributed differently across the 4 tiers. While the Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers feature the same nine variants, with the highest numbering at /100, Topps uses two different variants for the rare Platinum base cards that are found only at this tier: the Black Electric Dots parallels and the SDCC-exclusive Black & Yellow Electric Dots parallels, both numbered to /10.
Insert Cards
The two insert categories CEREBRO and MASS SYMBIOTE TAKEOVER form the main focus of the insert sets. Numbered to /99 in their standard version and produced as Chrome cards, the Cerebro inserts are a nostalgic homage to the distinctive visual style of 1990s comic art and show Professor X using the full power of Cerebro to locate and track mutants around the globe.
Mass Symbiote Takeover features characters across 30 different cards who have bonded with Marvel’s infamous, viscous symbiotes, ranging from fan-favorite hosts to unexpected pairings, set against a design that itself appears to be infected by the species.
Visitors to SDCC can, with a bit of luck, pull one of three San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) exclusives designed by Ian McDonald from the boxes available exclusively at the event, featuring Spider-Man, Hulk or the Punisher.
The inserts are complemented by unique hand-drawn cards in the two categories SKETCH CARDS and SPIDER-MAN VILLAINS SKETCH CARDS.
Autograph Cards
Autograph collectors can find Chrome autograph cards from comic artists and prominent actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the collection. The COMIC CREATORS CHROME AUTOGRAPHS include signatures from Adi Granov, Frank Miller and Lucio Parrillo, among others, while the MARVEL STUDIOS CHROME AUTOGRAPHS feature names such as Hugh Jackman, Hailee Steinfeld and Samuel L. Jackson.
Relic Cards
For the relic cards, Topps has taken to the scissors and created a card featuring a cut signature from Stan Lee as well as comic-cut relics from Spider-Man. The Spider-Man Comic Cuts are all unique pieces (1-of-1) from some of the most iconic comic issues of the 1960s and 1970s.
Availability
Each Hobby box of the 2026 TOPPS Mint Marvel Trading Cards contains 11 cards, divided between 1 pack with 10 cards and one additional encased card included in each box.
The release date announced by Topps for 2026 TOPPS Mint Marvel Trading Cards is Wednesday, the 19th of August 2026. Short-term changes to this date are possible at any time and should be taken into account.
From that point onward, the boxes will be available through the EQL process in the Topps online shop or from retailers specializing in trading cards. Visitors to San Diego Comic-Con can secure their exclusive version around a month earlier.
