Description
The second week of December brings a new wave of Topps Fan Sets to collectors. After the most recent Fan Sets focused mainly on clubs from continental Europe, Topps is now turning its attention to four teams from the English Premier League. Alongside the 2024-25 TOPPS Arsenal FC Official Fan Set Soccer Cards, sets for Liverpool, Manchester City and, for the first time, Manchester United are being released at the same time.
In the Fan Set series, developed mainly for newcomers to the hobby, sets have already been released for the teams of Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, FC Bayern München, FC Barcelona and FC Red Bull Salzburg.
As an affordable entry-level option, the Topps Fan Sets serve as the precursor to the Team Sets released somewhat later. Positioned in the next higher price bracket, these usually come with somewhat more extensive content and a greater chance of autograph cards, and some also include memorabilia cards.
Base Cards
All Fan Sets for the 2024/25 season use an identical design that is slightly customized with each club’s colors. At the heart of the set is a base set consisting of 20 cards, which in the Arsenal Fan Set features the most important players from the current season’s men’s and women’s squads.
Parallels
Topps provides no further details about the parallel variants included in the boxes and leaves collectors in the dark as to which numbered parallels can be pulled.
Insert Cards
The Arsenal FC Fan Set is expanded by four themed insert categories. These include the Golden Future inserts known from the previous year’s Fan Sets, featuring up-and-coming young players, and the Golden Treasure inserts, which, as One-of-One cards, exist only once per player across all produced boxes. New for the 24/25 season are the Fanatic Fans and Monolith inserts.
Autograph Cards
Particularly lucky collectors can, in addition to the two parallels, find another foil trading card in their box containing the autograph of one of the Gunners’ current top stars or a club legend. However, Topps provides no further details on how frequently such autograph cards can be found in the 2024-25 TOPPS Arsenal FC Fan Set boxes.
Availability
In each Topps Arsenal Fan Set 2024/25 box, collectors will find 28 cards in a pre-packed pack. This contains all 20 different base cards and is supplemented by randomly included insert cards. In addition, there are the two parallel cards guaranteed in every 2024-25 TOPPS Arsenal FC Fan Set box, one of which is always an unnumbered Electro parallel and the other a numbered parallel card.
The release date announced by Topps for 2024-25 TOPPS Arsenal FC Official Fan Set Soccer Cards is Monday, the 9th of December 2024.
From that date, the Arsenal Fan Set 2024/25 boxes will be available from Topps through its own online shops in Europe and from retailers specializing in sportscards.
