Description
The Fan Sets, which Topps has designed primarily for newcomers to the hobby, are entering their third season. Following the launch with the Fan Set for Real Madrid, five more top European clubs follow simultaneously shortly before the end of November.
Alongside the 2024-25 TOPPS Paris Saint-Germain Official Fan Set Soccer Cards, Topps is simultaneously releasing sets for Benfica, Chelsea, FC Barcelona and FC Red Bull Salzburg. Further Fan Sets for Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and FC Bayern München have been announced for December.
As an affordable entry-level option, the Fan Sets serve as a precursor to the Topps Team Sets released a little later. These sit in the next higher price bracket, usually offer slightly more extensive contents and a higher chance of Autograph Cards, and in some cases also include Memorabilia Cards.
Base Cards
All Fan Sets for the 2024/25 season use an identical design, which is slightly customized with the respective club colors. At the heart of each Fan Set is a Base Set comprising 20 cards, containing the key players from the squad for the current season.
Parallels
Topps provides no further details about the parallel variants and leaves collectors in the dark as to which numbered parallels can be pulled from the boxes.
Insert Cards
Four insert categories bring another 40 cards to collect into the set: the Golden Future Inserts, already familiar from the previous year, featuring promising young players, and the Golden Treasures, which are available as One-of-One cards and exist only once per player across the entire print run. New this year are the Monolith and Fanatic Fans Inserts.
Autograph Cards
Especially lucky collectors can find another foil card in the PSG Fan Set boxes alongside the two parallels, featuring an autograph from one of the club’s current top stars. However, Topps does not provide any further information about how frequently Autograph Cards appear in the boxes.
Availability
Each Topps PSG Fan Set 2024/25 box contains 28 cards in one prepacked pack. In addition to a colorful mix of Base and Insert cards, the pack also contains the two parallel cards guaranteed in every Topps Paris Saint-Germain Fan Set 2024/25 box, one of which is always a non-numbered Electro Parallel and the other a numbered parallel card.
The release date announced by Topps for 2024-25 TOPPS Paris Saint-Germain Official Fan Set Soccer Cards is Friday, the 22nd of November 2024.
From that date, Topps offers the 2024-25 PSG Fan Set boxes through its own online shops in Europe and through retailers specializing in sportscards.
