Description
With 2026 Topps Chrome Tennis, Topps continues its still relatively young Chrome series for tennis, bringing together active top players, rising talents and former greats of the sport for the fourth time. Once again, the collection features the combination of Refractor parallels, inserts and autograph cards that is typical of Topps Chrome.
The autograph selection in particular has been significantly expanded for 2026 and, at the same time, spread across a wider range of themed categories. These are joined by familiar insert concepts such as Aces and Captured, as well as several Short Prints and Case Hits. Two autograph cards are guaranteed per Hobby Box.
Base Cards
The Base Set consists of 200 cards, making it considerably more compact than last year’s 300-card edition. The checklist features active players as well as former stars and rising talents, including a total of 34 Rookies. Topps once again covers several generations of tennis rather than focusing exclusively on the current tours.
Parallels
As is customary for the product line, the regular Base Set also serves as the foundation for an extensive selection of parallel variations, giving collectors who focus on specific players in particular the chance to chase numerous versions of a card.
An overview of the individual colors and serial numbering has not yet been released.
Insert Cards
For the inserts, Topps combines familiar series with several new additions. ACES returns once again and, with a design inspired by classic playing cards, also plays on the tennis term “Ace”.
CAPTURED also remains part of the collection and presents the players in a design inspired by the look of classic instant photos. YOUTHQUAKE returns as well and puts the spotlight on young and rising players.
With DESTINY, Topps also brings in an insert concept already known from other Chrome products. WORLD NUMBER 1 is another new addition, focusing on players who reached the top of the world rankings during their careers.
Among the rarer cards are the returning GAME SET MATCH inserts. For 2026, they receive a new Die-Cut design and are listed as a Case Hit. The HELIX inserts known from other Chrome collections also return and are likewise considered a Case Hit.
The SOLUS inserts are another new addition. The name derives from the Latin word for “alone” and also describes the design concept: the player appears largely isolated against a reflective background. With its simple yet impressive design, SOLUS is also one of the Case Hits in the series.
Autograph Cards
The autograph selection is considerably more extensive in 2026 than it was last year. In total, the checklist includes 283 signed cards, compared with 195 in the 2025 edition. At the same time, Topps spreads the autographs across a greater number of different series. The largest share comes from the regular BASE AUTOGRAPHS, which are divided into two tiers and comprise a total of 192 cards.
Familiar concepts such as the ACES Autographs, DUAL AUTOGRAPHS and YOUTHQUAKE SIGNATURES also remain part of the collection.
Another new addition is WORLD NUMBER 1 AUTOGRAPHS, presenting collectors with 23 male and female players who reached the top of the women’s or men’s world rankings during their careers. The names featured include legends such as Steffi Graf, Björn Borg, Martina Navratilova and Ivan Lendl, as well as still-active players such as Aryna Sabalenka, Novak Djokovic, Naomi Osaka and Carlos Alcaraz.
The new CLAY COURT MASTERS AUTOGRAPHS selection is considerably smaller. The series is limited to Carlos Alcaraz, Gustavo Kuerten, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, focusing on four particularly successful names in clay-court tennis.
The COURTSCRIPTS SIGNATURES also make their debut, featuring 20 male and female players currently active on tour.
