With the 2025 TOPPS Resurgence NFL Football Cards, the next Topps collection for the 2025 NFL season takes the stage. Collectors can look forward to 1 autograph card and 1 autograph relic card per Hobby Box.
Description
For the second time, Topps is releasing Resurgence cards for the National Football League (NFL). Collectors were already able to find the first Resurgence cards in the 2023 Topps Composite Football collection, which was followed one year later by the first standalone collection, although that release still had to do without full team names and logos. With the 2025 TOPPS Resurgence NFL Football Cards, a fully licensed release now follows for the first time.
Collectors can choose from four different product formats. Alongside the Hobby Box as the standard format and the Delight Boxes, which are primarily aimed at breakers, the Mega Box and Value Blaster Box also offer two formats at more beginner-friendly prices.
Base Cards
The BASE SET of the collection includes 200 cards on the energy-charged design with Chrome finish that is typical for the collection, and is split evenly between the established VETERANS and the ROOKIES who newly entered the league in 2025.
Parallels
More than 30 parallel variants are waiting for collectors, making the collection’s electricity theme shine in a wide range of different colors. Of these, 25 are numbered, from the highest numbering of /425 down to the 1/1s that exist only once per card. Three of the non-numbered variants are each exclusive to one product format. The Blue & Orange Spark Parallels can only be found in the Mega Boxes, the Sky Blue & Pink Shock Parallels only in the Value Blaster Boxes, and the Silver Static Parallels only in the Delight Boxes of the collection.
Insert Cards
With a total of 8 insert categories, Topps expands the collection by another 200 cards. CIRCUIT BREAKERS, CONDUCTORS, PROTONYX and VOLTAIC, with their broad parallel range, are among the cards collectors will find more frequently in the packs.
Significantly rarer and positioned in the case-hit range are the ELECTRO LIGHTS inserts, which are only included in the Mega Boxes and Value Blaster Boxes, as well as the PERFECT FITS, STRING THEORY and WIRED insert cards, which can only be found in the Hobby Boxes and Delight Boxes.
Autograph Cards
The most distinctive feature of the autograph cards is the deliberately used different ink colors in which the athletes have signed, creating a visual connection between the autograph and the design.
Alongside BASE SIGNATURES, which adopt the design of the base cards, four additional categories are used. ARC FLASH AUTOGRAPHS, MOLECULAR MARKS, NEON INITIATES and THERMAL RED INK AUTOGRAPHS, which already reference in their title the red color the players used to sign the cards.
Autograph Relic Cards
In addition to an autograph card, collectors can also find a rookie autograph relic card from 3 themed areas in every Hobby Box. AMPED UP ROOKIE RELIC AUTOGRAPHS, RADIAL ROOKIE RELIC AUTOGRAPHS and RESURGENCE ROOKIE RELIC SIGNATURES offer jersey pieces worked into the cards in three different formats, including some visually impressive patches with the NFL logo.
Availability
Each Hobby Box of the collection contains 72 cards, spread across 12 packs with 6 cards each. Each box includes 1 autograph card and 1 autograph relic card. The Delight Boxes, which are primarily aimed at breakers, contain only 1 pack with 8 cards, but include 2 autograph cards and 1 autograph relic card. As further product formats, the Mega Box with 48 cards and the Value Blaster Box with 32 cards are available, each bringing exclusive parallels.
The release date announced by Topps for 2025 TOPPS Resurgence NFL Football Cards is Friday, the 31st of July 2026. Short-term changes to this date are possible at any time and should be taken into account.
From that point on, the boxes will be available in the Topps online shop or from retailers specializing in sportscards. During an initial presale phase on June 29, interested collectors were able to secure Hobby Boxes at a price of $319, Mega Boxes for $59.99 and Value Blaster Boxes for $29.99 from Topps.
